Dec 25 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1515 GMT on Friday.

*BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb killed three Shi'ite pilgrims taking part in the religious festival of Ashura in the Kamaliya district of east Baghdad, police said.

RABIA - A suicide bomber detonated a car laden with explosives and killed one soldier from the minority Kurds' Peshmerga military and wounded 14 others near Iraq's border with Syria in northern Nineveh province, said Khaled Abdala, a local leader from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). A different source from the KDP said the explosion was not a suicide attack, but a remotely detonated car bomb, and put the toll at one killed and 10 wounded.

MOSUL - Gunmen killed three men doing temporary work as census takers on Thursday in western Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL -Police found the body of a woman who had been suffocated to death in western Mosul, police said.

MOSUL - An attacker threw an explosive at an Iraqi police patrol, killing one civilian and wounding another in central Mosul, police said.

SHIRQAT - Gunmen opened fire on a local pro-government militia checkpoint on Thursday night, killing one and wounding two others in Shirqat, 300 km (190 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Four people were wounded in a confrontation between police and a group of Shabak young men who massed outside a church in Western Mosul, throwing rocks and shouting threats, police said. Four people were wounded when police opened fire.

KIRKUK - Gunmen in a speeding car shot and killed an electricity ministry employee in southwest Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, on Thursday night, police said.

KERBALA - A roadside bomb wounded four civilians in Kerbala, 80 km (50 miles) southwest of Baghdad on Thursday night, police said.
